This game offers a large number of new elements: an intuitive combat system with no need for tables; alternating rounds defined by resource points; the presence on the map of essential supply lines… not to mention strategic cards which, while not the engine of the game, are very important because they introduce historical events and political actions, adding great tactical depth.
Each side includes counters representing the period’s military forces present on this front, such as African troops, dynamiters, Santander and Basque brigades, and the countless militias that fought with equal tenacity for one side or the other.
Asturias 1936–1937 not only offers an immersive gameplay experience, but also an opportunity to learn about the events that shaped the Spanish Civil War on the Northern Front, with artwork by Nico Eskubi that captures the full intensity of this historic conflict.
